AP Specialist Taskforce

Orchardside is very proud to be supported by the DfE Alternative Provision Specialist Taskforce Team  (APST) to create a specialist team of professionals who are located on site to support our students and families .  The professionals on our Taskforce are able to provide intensive multi-agency support to our students, informing and guiding them in a variety of ways to overcome barriers. The Taskforce focus on improving attendance , re engagement with learning , planning further education routes and working with families.  The specialists also work with those who are most at risk of exploitation from criminal gangs.

The Taskforce provides wraparound support from our social worker, speech and language therapist, education psychologist and a variety of specific mentors.  The Taskforce put the child at the centre of the problem-solving working hand in hand with each other and with local partners.
