Turnaround Project
At Orchardside, we run a respite provision for mainstream students. Students from either year 7 or 8 whom are at risk of permanent exclusion will be with us for a period of six weeks and then reintegrate back into their school with support. Students on the Turnaround programme will study:
- English
- Maths
- Science
- Art
- Drama
- Physical Education
- Home Cooking Skills
- Enrichment/Relationship Sex and Health Education (RSHE)
- Humanities
- Back to school workshops
- 121 mentoring
Students will have the appropriate screeners during their time at Orchardside for Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
A holistic report will be produced for the students when they return to school, with a requirement that the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) from both schools are involved in the re-integration meeting.
We are open for referrals.
